Windows 98 - If you are having problems with your monitor and need to revert to default settings, try the following:
- Restart computer
- Hold down "cntrl" until MSWIn98 startup screen appears.
- Select "SafeMode".
- Right-click desktop, click on "Properties".
- In "Display Properties" box, click "Settings".
- Click "ok", Windows will then notify you it will start in VGA mode.
- Click "yes", and restart your computer.
When your computer restarts it will run in VGA (640x480, 16-bit) default mode. After your computer has completed its restart, you c'll be able to change your display settings to whatever you want, Windows will automatically load any accelerated drivers needed on the next restart.
Restart machine.
